Political leaders, business leaders and church leaders, everyone has come together to help renovate one of the oldest and hardest hit communities in Metro Detroit. Even the city is joining in. Tom Bommarito, Director of Community, Economic & Development, says “The city of Warren is committed to these vital neighborhoods and to providing opportunities for low and moderate income households to purchase decent, affordable housing.”
Business leaders, like Chris Yatooma, owner of OCG corporation and founder of The New Foster Care, has committed resources to help. Chris says, “We started The New Foster Care to support families and foster children who have aged out of the system. We are joining efforts with Warren Hope to rebuild a community and provide housing for needy families and foster care children.”
There are 20 churches in the Warren Pastor’s Association. These pastors represent churches of every denomination. They all have one thing in common: a desire to communicate light and love to the Warren community. Warren Hope shares this passion! Bill Farina, Pastor of Bethel Christian Church, says, “Church leaders in our community are coming together and joining forces to lift up these struggling neighborhoods and families that desperately need our help.”
